About
Warburton Bike Park gives guests staying at Yarra Valley Lodge a family-friendly and adventure-led way to experience the Yarra Valley on two wheels.
Set in the hills around Warburton and Wesburn, the bike park has been purpose-built for mountain biking, with trails designed for different riding levels. For families, it offers a more active day out in the Yarra Valley, with beginner-friendly routes, a pump track, picnic facilities and space to build confidence before taking on longer rides.
Why visit Warburton Bike Park
Warburton Bike Park suits families who want a Yarra Valley activity with fresh air, movement and a little adventure built in. The Wesburn Park trailhead is a helpful starting point, with facilities including a pump track, toilets, showers, picnic areas and a playground. Beginner-friendly routes such as Wesburn Shorty and Warburton Shorty are designed to give newer riders a way into the park without committing to the more advanced parts of the network.
For experienced riders, the park has a very different appeal. Warburton Bike Park is being developed as a major mountain biking destination, with over 70 km of trails now open and routes that include climbs, descents, technical sections, downhill riding and longer backcountry-style adventures. It is worth checking trail maps and current conditions before visiting, especially if you are planning a more advanced ride or shuttle-based day.
How to get there
Warburton Bike Park’s main trailhead is at Wesburn Park, 2804B Warburton Highway, Wesburn. From Yarra Valley Lodge, allow approximately 50 to 60 minutes by car.
Driving is the easiest option from the Lodge, especially for families travelling with bikes, helmets and day gear. Free onsite parking at Yarra Valley Lodge also makes it easier for guests bringing bikes as part of a longer Yarra Valley stay.
