About
The Yarra River Walk and Yarra View Walk give guests staying at Yarra Valley Lodge a simple way to slow down and explore the natural setting around the estate.
Some of the best moments at Yarra Valley Lodge happen before the day has been fully planned. Make a coffee, step outside and take time to follow the walking routes that move through and around the property, with views of the river, open land, mature trees, birdlife and the wider Yarra Valley landscape.
These walks are not about rushing to another destination. They are about noticing the setting that makes the Lodge feel removed from the pace of Melbourne, while still being close to wineries, golf, local attractions and the surrounding villages.
Walk options from the Lodge
The Yarra River Walk is a 5km walk that follows the meandering river path along the edge of the property. It is a beautiful way to see the Yarra River up close, with time to enjoy the trees, open space and quieter parts of the estate. Guests who want to extend the walk can continue through the gate and veer right onto the Mount Lofty trail in Warrandyte National Park.
The Yarra View Walk extends the experience into a longer 10km circuit. Instead of veering right out of the property, turn left and follow the route around the estate via Lower Homestead Road, Hughes Road and Heritage Avenue, returning through the main gate. This walk takes in views of the river, the greater valley and the full Yarra Valley Lodge property.
