About the Tesselaar Tulip Festival

Running for decades now, the Tesselaar Tulip Festival opens daily from 12 September to 11 October 2026, with more than 120 tulip varieties across the family-run farm. Paths wind through the fields for photos and wandering, and there’s a flower market for taking a bunch home, plus a nursery shop for the bulbs themselves.

Peak bloom usually falls somewhere between mid-September and early October, though it shifts a little with the weather each year, worth checking closer to your visit for the best chance of catching it in full colour.

How to get there

Tesselaar is about 20 minutes from Yarra Valley Lodge, with on-site parking for cars and coaches, an easy drive through the Dandenong Ranges.
